$111,050-131,893 (DOQ)
LENGTH OF CONTRACT: 226-Day Contract

POSITION INFORMATION:
The Executive Director of Maintenance and Operations oversees and provides primary leadership for all support services in the district including transportation, nutrition services, and maintenance and custodial services. The Executive Director coordinates the district school safety, security, and emergency preparedness initiatives and serves as the district-level contact for city and county security and law enforcement agencies. The Executive Director provides district-level guidance and support for the district’s safety and risk management program.
Pasco is a rich, culturally diverse, vibrant community, and has been one of the fastest growing districts in the state for over ten years. As a result, the district has sustained an ambitious capital projects program, and will open four new schools by 2021. The total combined budget for 2017-2018 was over $250 million, supporting over 18,000 students.
THE DISTRICT SEEKS A CANDIDATE WITH:
- Bachelor's degree in facilities management, project management, business administration, or related field, or a combination of training, education or experience may be substituted for degree
- Minimum of 5 years successful administrative experience in a school district, large public agency, or comparable setting.
- Demonstrated facilities, maintenance and operations related experience in large or complex organizations, and at least three years of experience serving in a supervisory role.
- Preferred candidate will have demonstrated effective strategic planning, management, and leadership skills within a school district or comparable environment.
- Proven ability to articulate a vision, direction, and leadership in providing support to schools and departments.
- Demonstrated ability to establish relationships and work effectively with diverse elements of a community.
- Demonstrated leadership and experience in supervision and evaluation of staff.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to successfully interact with government agencies in a variety of business settings.
- Strong analytical skills, including ability to engage in systems thinking and consider organizational impacts from multiple sources.
- Knowledge and experience in working with diverse populations.
- Strong administrative skills, including supervision, budgeting, planning, goal setting, and organization.
- Demonstrated ability to build a positive culture and develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with employees and the community.
- Proven track record of creating a department atmosphere of exemplary internal customer service.
- Ability to work independently, utilize sound professional judgment, and act with integrity in upholding, modeling, and establishing accountability for high professional and ethical standards.
