LOCATION: Chiawana High School
EFFECTIVE DATE: 2024-2025 SY
SALARY: $21.85 - $22.87 per hour
AA Degree - $0.50 per hour extra
BA Degree - $0.75 per hour extra

SCHEDULE: 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday
200 day work year
QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED: (Qualifications which are essential to the position)
*High School Diploma or equivalent
*Bilingual/Biliterate Spanish/English, ability to proficiently read, speak and write both Spanish and English
*Grade āCā or better on District administered Thurstone Employment Test
*Keyboarding accuracy at 45 wpm on district administered test
*Demonstrated punctuality and an excellent work attendance record
*Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and work effectively with students, staff and
patrons
*Demonstrated exemplary customer service and responsiveness
*Ability to handle heavy telephone traffic pleasantly and efficiently
*Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and with frequent interruptions
*Demonstrated ability to prepare and maintain accurate records and files
*Ability to work within designated bounds of authority and confidentiality
*Ability to follow safe work practices and procedures
*Ability to establish and maintain professional cooperative working relationships
DESIRED: (Qualifications which are not required, but would be useful to the position)
*Knowledge of district and high school policies and personnel
*Previous school attendance experience
*Knowledge of PowerSchool
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
Support the Student Support Teams in the Home Bases including, but not limited to:
- Communicating daily on students needing to clear attendance
- Maintaining accurate attendance records
- Acting as the frontline contact for parents and students to report absences
- Meeting regularly with support teams to discuss students in need of more intense attendance intervention
- Provide a warm and welcoming environment in the Attendance Office for students, staff and parents
- Other related duties as assigned by the principal and/or immediate supervisor
