JOB ANNOUNCEMENT FOR THE 2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR

 

 

Open:  May 21, 2024             Close:  June 28, 2024 Until Filled

 

 

POSITION:              Substitute School Nurse 

                                   Location to be Determined

 

 

SCHEDULE:           2024-2025 School Year

                                  7 hours per day, Monday through Friday

 

SALARY:               Based on the 2024-2025 Teacher Salary Schedule with ESA Certification

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: (Qualifications which are essential to the position)

*Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

* Ability to obtain an E.S.A. certificate 

*Must be a registered nurse currently licensed with the State of Washington

*Demonstrated punctuality and an excellent work attendance record

*Must work within designated bounds of authority and confidentiality

*Willing to work collaboratively with building and district staff

*Ability to develop a rapport and communicate well with students, parents, and staff

*Able to work independently and on own initiative with interruptions

*Ability to follow safe work practices and procedures

 

QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED:  (Qualifications which are not required, but would be useful to the position)

*Bilingual/Biliterate in English/Spanish

*E.S.A. certificate

*Two years of experience in public health nursing, preferably in a school district
