POSITION: Non-Instructional Paraeducator
LOCATION: Captain Gray STEM Elementary School
EFFECTIVE DATE: Immediately
SALARY: $18.78 - $20.44 per hour
AA Degree - $.50 per hour extra
BA Degree $.75 per hour extra

SCHEDULE: 4.58 hours total per day, Monday - Friday, per below
4.0 hours daily (continuing)
0.58 hours daily (temporary)
180 days - work year
QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED: (Qualifications which are essential to the position)
*High School Diploma or equivalent
*Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively with staff, students, and patrons
*Demonstrated punctuality and an excellent work attendance record
*Must complete annual required training hours for paraeducator certificate
*Ability to establish and maintain professional, cooperative working relationships
*Demonstrated exemplary customer service and responsiveness
*Must work within designated bounds of authority and confidentiality
*Demonstrate and model above average language skills
*Ability to follow supervisory directions and employ personal initiative when necessary
*Adequate health and physical stamina to withstand weather and changes of seasons
*Ability to follow safe work practices and procedures
QUALIFICATIONS:
DESIRED: (Qualifications which are not required, but would be useful to the position)
*Bilingual/Biliterate English/Spanish
*College or on-the-job training experience as a paraeducator or assessment paraeducator
*Record keeping and computer skills
*Willingness to study materials provided by supervisory personnel and/or take college classes to improve basic instructional skills
*First Aid card
*Experience working with elementary school students
*Willingness to do office tasks
