TEMPORARY POSITION FOR GRADES PreK-5 SCIENCE LITERACY SPECIAL ED FACILITATOR - SUMMER SCHOOL ONLY 

 

 

POSITION:              TEMPORARY POSITION FOR GRADES PreK-5 SCIENCE                                                  AND VURTUAL LITERACY - SUMMER SCHOOL ONLY

                                Sites:Three Rivers Elementary (K-5), Chess Elementary (K-5),                                             Robinson Elementary (K-5), Early Learning Center (Pre-K)

                         

DATES:                    July 6, 2021  July 30, 2021 

                                17 Days @ 7 hrs per day

                                 (Tuesday July 6- Friday July 9) - Prep Days

                                 (Monday - Thursday:  July 12-15, July 19-22, July 26-July 30)

                                 *No school July 16, July 23 or July 30

 

SCHEDULE:             7:30 am - 2:30 pm

                                First instructional day - Monday July 12

                                Monday through Thursday

 

 

SALARY:                  Per Diem 

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:  (Qualifications which are essential to the position)

*Valid Washington State Teaching Certificate with Special Ed Endorsement

*Communicate with District Summer School Admininstrator

*Ability to exercise sound judgement to organize, coordinate activities and initiate required tasks

*Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and work effectively with students and staff

*Demonstrated ability to work under pressure

*Punctuality and accuracy in a work environment of frequent interruptions

*Positive evaluations and recommendations

*Must be available for all hours and days

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

*Coordinate services for special education students eligible for IEP recovery services.

*Point of contact for families

*Liaison with building facilitators regarding sped topics

*Coordinating data collection and IEP related supports and accommodations in collaboration with special ed teachers

*Supporting special transportation bussing needs

*Supporting special ed and general teachers with scaffolding of Science Literacy Summer School instruction

*Be Present at program(s) each day

*Maintain records and documents required for special ed recovery services

*Directing clerk and home visitor to meet the program needs

*Coordinating and completing all start up and closing down tasks

*Other responsibilities as needed
