POSITION:              Social Studies Teacher - 1.0 FTE

                                Pasco High School

 

SCHEDULE:             2021 - 2022 School Year

 

SALARY:                  Based on the 2021 - 2022 Teacher Salary Schedule

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED: (Qualifications which are essential to the position)

*Valid Washington State Teaching Certificate with Social Studies endorsement to teach at high school level

*Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree

*Ability and willingness to participate in required trainings and professional development opportunities

*Willingness to participate in interdisciplinary planning, curriculum design and evaluation

*Willingness to work with instructional coach

*Demonstrate a core belief system that matches the guiding principles/mission/vision of the school and be willing to operate accordingly

*Willingness to work within a bell schedule that allows peer collaboration and student interventions within the work day

*Willingness to implement best practice strategies for student learning and interventions developed by the school

*Ability and willingness to work toward improving student achievement based on state and national learning standards, school improvement plan and all other state requirements

*Ability and willingness to teach all content area courses

*Willingness to participate collaboratively with staff members for the purpose of improving learning including interdisciplinary and content areas

 

QUALIFICATIONS

DESIRED: (Qualifications which are not required, but would be useful to the position)

*Previous successful classroom teaching experience at the secondary level

*Bilingual/Biliterate in English/Spanish

*Knowledge/literacy of computers

*Willingness to be involved with student activities or athletics
