*English - 1 Position
HIRING DEPENDENT ON STUDENT ENROLLMENT
SCHEDULE: Training and Planning Days (2 days), June 18, 2021 and June 21, 2021
Instructional Days (12 days), Tuesdays - Fridays,
June 22, 2021 - July 9, 2021
Grading Day (1 day), July 12th, 2021
*All grades are due by 3:00 p.m., Monday, July 12th, 2021.
A summer school staff orientation/training meeting will be scheduled on June 18th; attendance is mandatory.
SALARY: 15 days Per Diem
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: (Qualifications which are essential to the position)
*Valid Washington State Teaching Certificate with required endorsements
*Prior High School Experience in the listed content area(s)
*Ability to communicate well with students, staff, and parents in-person and online
*Prior demonstrated experience and willingness to use proficiency based grading
*Prior demonstrated experience and willingness to individualize student learning and utilize competency based grading in order to award high school credits
*Ability to adapt to individual student needs, schedule, and curricula
*Prior experience using online curriculum platforms and/or online curriculum delivery
*Prior experience and willingness to use PowerSchool
*Demonstrated ability to work as a member of an innovative instructional team
DESIRED: (Qualifications which are not required but would be useful to the position)
*Bilingual/Biliterate in English/Spanish
*ELL or Bilingual endorsement preferred for bilingual positions
