POSITION:           Temporary - Secondary English Language Development (ELD) Teacher - 1.0 FTE

                              Pasco High School

SCHEDULE:            2024 - 2025 School Year

SALARY:                Based on the 2024- 2025 Teacher Salary Schedule

                             Certificated Salary Schedule:  Link to Certificated Salary Schedule

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: (Qualifications which are essential to the position)

*Valid Washington State Teaching Certificate with applicable endorsements

*Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree

*Bilingual positions require Bilingual or ESL Endorsement

*Biliterate in Spanish/English

*Knowledge of Balanced Literacy or willingness to learn

*Willingness to participate in sheltered training such as Guided Language Acquisition Design (GLAD)

*Ability and willingness to work toward improving student achievement based on state and national standards, school improvement plan, and all other state requirements

*Ability and willingness to participate in required trainings and professional development opportunities

*Demonstrate a core belief system that matches the guiding principles and vision/mission of the school and be willing to operate accordingly

*Willingness to work with a system that allows for peer collaboration and student intervention within the work day

*Willingness to implement best practice strategies for student learning and interventions

*Willingness to participate collaboratively with staff members for the purpose of improving student learning including cross grade level and grade level partners 

 

QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED: (Qualifications which are not required, but would be useful to the position)

*Previous successful classroom teaching experience
