POSITION: COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT MANAGER
Exempt Position
Delta High School
EFFECTIVE: 2024-25 school year
SALARY: $59,638 - $70,839 (pro-rated for 200 work days) based on the Exempt Salary Schedule
SCHEDULE: 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday
200 day – work year; flexible calendar
QUALIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED: (Qualifications which are essential to the position)
*Minimum of Bachelor's Degree or equivalent industry experience
*Demonstrated exemplary customer service and responsiveness
*Ability to use a variety of computer software programs and website development
*Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively with staff, students, and business and community members
*Work independently and manage multiple priorities and deadlines
*Recruit and work with diverse partners in STEM
*Network in the community to leverage community resources for students
*Ability to follow safe work practices and procedures
*Ability to establish and maintain professional, cooperative working relationships
*Demonstrated punctuality and an excellent work attendance record

QUALIFICATIONS:
DESIRED: (Qualifications which are not required, but would be useful to the position)
*Previous experience coordinating career fairs, career surveys and trades/college visitations
*Pervious experience creating business partnerships
*Previous exprience with marketing and communication
*Evidence of ability to collect and analyze data to determine the impact of programs on student learning and career interests
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Community Engagement Manager will coordinate and facilitate all aspects of career connections at the building level. Current programs and events include: Career Guest Speakers, Mock Interviews, Job Shadows, College and Career Roadshow, Health Sciences day, STEM-Con, Delta Student Ambassadors, Framatome Career Closet, and Delta outreach events with Career Connected Learning. Provide support at school events, assist with press and public relations, and financial support outreach.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversees, coordinates, and administers career connected opportunities as directed by administrator
- Responsible for Career Guest Speakers, Mock interview support and Career Day events in the local area
- Maintains a record of community partners and outreach activities by attending various community events representing PSD in the business community
- Act as a liason to the community and businesses supporting Career Connections and STEM initiatives.
- Works flexible hours during after school and evening events focused on careers
- Creates and maintains the website, social media and public relations for Delta.
- Supports High School and Beyond Planning Activities for Students
- Works with local trades and apprenticeship programs to highlight career opportunities
- Work closely with WSU, CBC and local training centers to provide opportunities to students
- Works within designated bounds of authority and confidentiality
- Performs other duties as assigned by the building principal and or CTE Director
